Building with Papa

The girls got a Tool Box building kit from Home Depot and today they put it together. They had their kits and hammer in hand and were ready to build. Papa read the instructions and got the girls started on pounding in the nails into the outside pieces. Victoria did a good job of hitting the nail every time. Elizabeth was a wild woman and went to town hitting the nail with the side of the hammer along with moving the other hand too. I helped the girls keep the hammer steady and they did all the pounding. Victoria was slow and steady and Elizabeth was hard and quick. They glued the handle in and then they were done. The girls and I painted the tool boxes, wrote their names on them and they had some stickers of tools to put on the boxes. We are going to go to Toys R Us to get them some tools. It was so fun doing this with them and Papa loved spending time with them since he has no boys. It was a fun day.

Summer Doings

We have been really busy this summer. We go to the Zoo, Aquarium, Swim Lessons, Ballet, play dates with friends and just regular things around the house. I have gotten to the point where I don't take my camera anymore to places that we visit over and over again because I want to just enjoy my time and not worry about getting pictures. We went to a Child's saftey fair and met Life Flight Crew, Search and Rescue crew and dogs and Police Officers. Got the girls their ID packets that I need to get their fingerprints done. Went to Home Depot and met some FireFighters and Victoria asked them if they have a black and white fire dog. They each got a tool box that they will build with Papa and then paint with me. We have been playing in the pool at home. We have just had a great Summer and now we are getting ready for Victoria to go to School. I hope that all of you have been having a good summer too.

The Living Planet Aquarium

I got annual passes for the Aquarium. The girls love it so much. We went twice in one month and after our last visit we went to Chuck E Cheese's. The girls love to look at the Octopus, Penguins, Sting Rays and Sea Horses. Elizabeth touch the 2 star fish but Victoria would not on the first visit. The second visit she touched the regular star fish but not the spiny one. I love taking them places and seeing how they react to things that we do.

Chuck E Cheese's was so fun. The girls just played and played. We did manage to get some lunch in them. But they just had so much fun.

Swim Lessons

The girls both took swim lessons just like they do every Summer. They had a great time this year. Victoria passed Level 1 Preschool and needs to go to Level 2 Preschool. She needs to work on putting her face in the water but other than that she did so good. Elizabeth did a wonderful job. She onnly needs to work on blowing bubbles with her nose and mouth submerged, she does it with her mouth submerged. She loved going every morning. They loved going down the slide that last day of class. I now need to stick to taking them swimming at least once a month to work on things and keep the skills up.
